Hi, if I go to see a film like Avatar, do I need a pair of 3D glasses or does the cinema provide them? Thx.

Not if you go to Cineworld, you get to keep them then you dont pay so much next time.Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!

our VUE supplies them, they used to be stored in a crate outside you helped yourself and then a cardboard box for you to return them after.
now they hand you a pair and heard that they have someone to collect them after...
(i think this is in lieu of cleaning the cinema)0 -

Really, I thought they charged extra each time. How much more do you pay if you take the glasses in? I paid £32 for me and the 2 kids to see a 3D movie in the summer - not something I'll be doing again soon at that price!!0 -
The guy at Castleford Cineworld asked me if we had them, we did, well we did at home. d'oh, so had to fork out another £1something per pair each.I beep for Robins - Beep Beep

At Cineworld its £1.30 (child and unlimited ch)-£1.90 extra for the 3d film
and 80p for a pair of 3d specs (which you can reuse)This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I have loads of pairs of 3D specs in my house. I go to Cineworld and had no idea you could re-use them and be charged less! I just thought it was a flat-rate extra for the 3D films. I'm pretty sure I wasn't 80p on top of our tickets for the glasses.
They're good to watch but not worth the extra IMO. We still go to see them occassionally though.

Think the 80p for reusable glasses has only been in effect since november this year.I have loads of pairs of 3D specs in my house.
