Why not have a drive into Manchester itself.
China town is lovely.
Also just round the corner from China town there are lots of bars, like wetherspoons and the likes.
You could have a look around manchester whilst your there.
Just an idea.0 -
Personally Manchester city centre is too far away but if you did fancy it I would take the train from the airport but loads of good places locally I would personally recommend The American Bar & Grill in Hale about 4 miles away, good value & they have a good childrens's menu but I would book as can get busy. Another alternative is TGI's at Cheadle about 2 miles away & you can use the BOGOF vouchers. A good site for local restaurants is http://www.onionring.co.uk it will have American Tel No etc PM if you want to know anything else.0

Theres quite a few Pizza Express restaurants around the Cheadle/Didsbury area which are good value for money and child friendly
Go to the restaurant finder on their webiste http://www.pizzaexpress.co.uk0
