To try and halt the growing tide of business being taken out of Standard Life, I see that they are now paying 5% commission to advisers who switch from one of their old products to one of their new ones (like their SIPP). An odd move coming from an ABI member, when the ABI are convinced that there is no evidence of commission bias in the industry. Ho Ho.I'm an Investment Manager. Apart from the Prudential takeover rumours, which have caused the rest of the sector to rise in smpathy, Standard Life released some information about the progress of its Canadian operations.
