Investors' Association link - Two very good news items that may support the shares

A director buying @ 249p and a £500m increase in distributable reserves that could underpin the dividend policy in spite of previous analyst doubts.

Sorry, cross posted but I stand corrected on CG allowance now being £8.5k
£8.8K actually :) (£8.5K was the 05/06 annual exemption amount)

  • Hi
I sold my shares online on 21/07 and received a letter saying the settlement date is 26/7.
Do I need to take anymore action or just wait for my cheque now, finding it all ver complicated.
At the bottom of the letter it says if I have a share cert that I should do certain things, but I dont have this or any of the forms it mentions.
It also says that if they hold my stock in there Nominee company they will deliver with no action needed by me. I assumed this was me and have done nothing. I am right.
    Thanks

Just re read the stuff on computershare site and found this bit :

"You can buy or sell shares in certificated format and dispose of or increase holdings that are held in a Computershare nominee account"

I guess our shares are in that nominee account and we have to do nothing and wait for the chq.

I rang computershare and they had recieved loads of calls asking the same, due to the fact that they enclose a return envelope.
The bottom line is WE DO NOTHING just sit back and the check will flutter thru the letter box...begging to be spent lol
