  • Just back from Regent, I'm still totally in shock at how much stuff we managed to sell, it was fully insane! Just wanted to say a big massive Thank You to everyone who was there today and were so very lovely and friendly and supportive, especially Rach, Supermum, and Fair Eire, we had such a good time! It was nice to put faces to names and have a wee chat with some of you, I can't wait til Belmont on Easter Saturday!! Will be stitching like a maniac from now on, think I need more days off to get monkey making! Best of luck to everyone going to St George's tomorrow, hope you all sell loads of your fab stuff!

Thanks for your welcome harley girl. Hopefully you might be able to fit us in to Glenabbey craft fair. We don't mind being contacted at last minute.

just back from holi event and was quite dissapointed with my sales :(
    how did everyone else do?
  • Oh no fi996, that does sound disappointing. What was the set up like? Did they have enough people coming through?
  • Holi event was great on numbers and if you could see my stall you must of though we bought 1000s of £s in...im afraid that was not the case, had loads of lookers but 1 in 40 must of shoped. Made the cash back for the stand, covered fuel and a bit extra. The bit extra was spent on the great curry though now that was worth it!!!!

the set up seemed ok to me although my stall was not very good as i was beside the paintball and i had to move my table as there was a lot of paint and water running under my stand + my feet but nobody was doing anything about it.

there was a great crowd but unfortunately people just did not seem to be spending (certainly not with me anyway) I think people were just there for the entertainment and something to eat. Does anyone know what St George's market is normally like as i usually hear very good reports about it?

I was there today also spoke with Supermum and Rach39 sorry must have missed you. My day wasn't bad but I have also done other work with Trishan and Nisha and I have found that people who come to these shows come for enterntainment and something to eat as I have never seen them walking around with lots of shopping bags. On the other hand the entertainment today of what I could hear and see was excellent - I thought

I have also done St George's market and it was useless for me in fact I had a permanent spot and pulled out because it was soo bad.

Hi, sorry you were disappointed Fi, I looked for you - searched for purple table cloth but the only one I could see was my own lol! I found it ok and did pretty well but I think the comments are right, many many more lookers than buyers which as Choco says I think is par for the course at this kind of event. Had a great day though - the dancers were fab but I was a bit deaf by the end, how long did that bloke hold that note for!!!!
Lovely to meet Choco and catch up with some friends and great atmosphere. I think St G's always seems to have a good vibe, never done regular market but was at a Christmas one and it was thriving. Would love to get in on a Saturday but no chance, list soooo long, especially for us jewellers.
