Hi everyone, I'm a newbie around here! I've been thinking of trying craft fairs/car boots to sell. I make pictures (framed and canvas using vintage and modern retro fabric. Have been doing it for a while for myself and friends and family but thinking of making it into something more. But I'm clueless!! I've never sold new items before (only my old stuff at carboots) and don't even know if this sort of thing would go down well at fairs. What do you think? I wouldn't even know how much to charge!! I make childrens/living room and even kitchen type pictures. Do you guys think I should try and if so what fair would be best to start out with?

    Thanks

    Kal

    Hi Kal

    Welcome to our little discussion!

Nothing beats a try, why don't you give some of the fairs a go and see where you go from there, if you scan back through the pages you will find our craft fair list, and don't forget to add any of your own!

    Best wishes
DJWW - cos we won't let it!

Second that - welcome Kal!! The first fair is always the hardest, but once you've met a few of us mad fellow crafters, you find yourself really looking forward to meeting up with everyone, which makes up for the butterflies in the tum!

    hi KAL

I have only been doin craft fairs since xmas and they are a great way to meet like-minded people. Some of course are better than others. Your craft sounds nice and I would definitely give it a go.
Try one of the least costly ones to start with maybe in a church or school be4 maybe doing national trust ones. People do like to buy something that is original. Good luck.:):)
ive got the craft bug, watch out its catching!!!;)
