You say you are at college. Do you have time to do a Saturday job or even an evening job for just a few hours. It may make you feel better even if it only pays a little off each month.
My daughters friend got herself into debt at 18. She got herself a Sunday morning paper round. She felt very silly at her age but she stuck at it and it kept her afloat for about a year until she sorted herself out.Love living in a village in the country side0 -
Well at the moment i work for my dad around my college hours so get about £80 per week, i am applying for other jobs so hopefully should get something back! Are my debts big enough for someone like cccs or payplan? I know they do not seem a lot but to me they are and damn depressing too!!!
Thanks for all your help i will keep you all updated on how i am doing! xLolx0 -

Nothing too big or too small! it's all relative, if it's too much pressure for you then that’s why CCCS exist, a Debt Management Plan (DMP) means that you pay 1 amount to CCCS monthly, and they will negotiate with your creditors, and make a payment to them on your behalf monthly.
A lot of creditors know and respect CCCS and many (but not all by any means) will freeze interest and charges on the account whilst you’re under a DMP with CCCS or the like. So long as you have 2 or more debts and can afford at least £5 per month for each creditor then you are exactly the person for a DMP. And when things improve you can increase you monthly payments or even take over repaying the debts yourself!
Give then a call today on 0800 138 1111 and they will book you in for an appointment with a lovely counsellor (about a 2 week wait) these people DO NOT judge you. You have nothing to be afraid or ashamed of sweetie xxAll comments and advice given is my own opinion and does not represent the views or advice of any debt advice organisation.

Hey, well done for coming on here - the people on here are really nice and very helpful. I'm in debt pretty early too (21) so I know how you feel! Debt is debt and I agree that it can really get you down at times regardless of how small it might seem.
If you have the spare time, how about doing odd jobs for neighbours (with it being summer im sure theres someone on holiday soon whos pets need feeding or something), offer to do a spring clean of the house for your parents for a bit of extra cash. Applying at mystery shop websites is a good source of casual income too.
Good luck x0 -
Have you any experience of office work? You can clearly use a computer - can you type, even if slowly? Especially at this time of year, many companies use temping agencies to cover holidays, and they often have jobs with flexible hours, so might be worth doing your CV and registering with a couple (it's free!)? Supermarkets also good places, especially if you're willing to do twilight and night shifts.0
