    id like to know how anyone can live with no lights upstairs, during the winter months?

    ormus is surly aint me on the streets because i have not been out of the house for over a week. i am in goodmays. if anyone know a good cheap electrician be much appriciated.

    does anyone know if this job will cost a lot.

    As we don't know what the problem is, it does not make sense to speculate. In your position, apart from the fact I can sort these problems myself, I would get an electrician in for 2 hours to investigate and fix if possible or diagnose and quote. If you do that, and pay, insist on the diagnosis, so you can get other quotes. This will help keep sparky on the straight and narrow if he thinks you might get another quote.
