MSN Help Please

:confused: Good Evening All

Could someone help with a problem I have with MSN? My dd has been using the 8.5 version for sometime however it keeps telling her the new version is available. She does not want the new version and if she chooses not to download it she cannot get access to MSN we have to keep uninstalling and reinstalling. All of her friend use the same version and have not had the prompt to upgrade.

    I think now they are rolling out that people HAVE to use the new version. Her friends might not have a problem now but they probably will later.

    Correct.

    Microsoft have been doing this for a while now, occasionly forcing users to update to the latest version. I think they do it so everyone more or less has the same capabilities and features etc.

    I thought they did i remember reading it somewhere but didnt want to confirm it, incase it wasnt what i read.

    As much as it is annoying to upgrade to newer software that has all these fancy menus and takes forever to find the same thing that was on a simple menu in previous version, it is better to upgrade as it will have better support in newer OS's, fixed bugs etc.
