Too late?

Hi:
We took out a FirstPlus loan back in November 2006 and had PPI included in it. At the time I agreed but about a year later I wrote to them claiming it back. They replied in a long and detailed letter saying no but that we could appeal to the FSA within six months. Unfortunately we did not do that at the time. Is it now too late to appeal, or is there any other way we can do this?

Hi there.;)
The timescales it is actually 6 months, but if you have a good reason for not being able to continue with your complaint in this time, maybe you have some personal reasons, then you can ask the FOS to consider this for you.
I would do this first if this is the case.
Otherwise, write to FP again to request they look at this as a brand new complaint, its just a suggestion, but ring the FOS first if you want to.
