Hello,
Forgive me - I'm sure this is a really simple calculation but I'm not sure what I'm doing!
If I listen to music streaming over the internet at 128kps (does this sound right?) how much bandwidth will I use per hour. I have a 5gb allowance a month so don't want to go mad!!!
How do I work this out?
Thanks

if my very poor maths is correct (which i accept no responsibilty for) i think this works out at around half a GB an hour.....
but im doubting myself now..... :-S
maybe just get an uncapped service like AOL which is nice and cheap(but horrible connection software as many people will tell you) or NTl or telewest. might be worth a look :-)0 -
Hi, this equates to about 40mb per hour. A 56k modem will actually download data at about 5k, or about 20mb an hour on a good connection. Therefore, 128k = 40mb.
Hope this helps
PierceUK's suggestion of getting an uncapped service is good advice though !Doing my best as a contrarian investor...property, banking...let's see how it goes
