So the first pay of 2010 landed in our accounts today. And so the all new shiny plan gets put in to force. Money to the savings pot (for car stuff, school uniform, holiday, birthday, christmas etc), money aside for the window cleaner (he'll faint when I produce the money on time :rotfl:) made the first of 2 payments to my dad for the month. The debt stood at £3218 yesterday, paid £300 off just now and another £1100 to go off when I get my student loan in mid-jan. Nearly there with that one.
Oh and my forecast shows the overdraft (£100) shouldn't be dipped in to at all this month - we're £150 clear of that "0" mark so as long as I don't go mad we'll be good :T
And here I am, 6.40 in the morning. Dressed up for a night out. It's the work's christmas do today - a full long day of conference and proper knees up. I'll be home at 5 though, sober, as I don't want to be over-hung for Christmas Eve. I want to enjoy it with my beautiful children. (Which is a far cry from last year when I got rather tipsy and can't remember much from 2pm on wards...). I'm not a heavy drinker usually but in the past have taken full advantage of 'child free' days/nights out and sampled many of the top row behind the bar....today I'm going to prove that even though I'm child-less today tha tI dont need to be leathered to have a good time.
This gardis has changed. It must be because I'm 30.Sealed pot challenge member #806 9.98/100

Oooh Christmas eve.
I made a big mistake today - popped out for loo roll and one last present. Bought the children a new hat each and a pair of wellies from Next (with a gift voucher that I was given but haven't managed to spend on me) and pot of cyclamens etc for DH's aunt when we visit her later next week. But I spent on things I hadn't budgeted for. Same goes for yesterday - got the children a hot water bottle each (£9.98 in total) and a book each (£13 in total).
Still, I've got taht guilty feeling so that will remain with me for a few weeks at least and keep me from buying unnecessarily. And I did get a £60 'bonus' yesterday at the Christmas party.
Not much else to report so I'll sign off. I've still to wrap all of the presents. And find one that has gone awol.
I hope everyone reading this has a peaceful and happy Christmas and a very happy, prosperous and healthy new year.Sealed pot challenge member #806 9.98/100
