Hope someone can help. I'm having problems with air in my Hot Water System, main prob is when using power shower, it " coughs and splutters" and sometimes no water at all. British Gas has advised getting a Combi Boiler fitted saying this will solve the problem.

When you say half way, do you mean half way through the shower? Or did you not exactly quite answer how long this happens for?It varies from as soon as you switch it on to halfway or sometimes we have no probs at all.
And where is the pump situated?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
And what on earth persuaded them to suggest that apart from the prospect of the commission cheque? What a load of old tosh those guys talk sometimes! Ten gets you five that your existing setup is piped incorrectly and the pump is sucking air down the open vent. Please provide full details of how the water (pipe connections) is supplied to the shower so that an appropriate solution can be recommended.Hope someone can help.
