Obviously a mistake!!

as said above, 1p per min = 60p per hour = a 6kW panel heater.

that's a lot to pay for low level background heat!!!!

Well they are clearly trying to get people mixed up I have seen the 1p thing quoted elsewhere as well!

I'd 2nd the Halogen recommendation. The radiated heat keeps you warm, without having to heat all the air in the room. I've got one and it really is like sitting in front of a fire (just be careful not to cover it or leave it close to or pointing at anything combustible).
