Hmm, I'm not sure that question constitutes a demonstration of much 'skill'. They should be careful that they don't get accused of running an illegal lottery.

done a lot better, and they never had no where near enough to cover the cost of the flat, i doubt this one will, and it seems this one is not going to do the raffle untill the flat cost is met, which could be years :-(

well, was done, the site is now gone :-(
  • I think its a great idea and I wish them all the best.

People are quick to knock other people who try to be imaginative in this life rather than offering support.

Imagine if people who post on this website all had afew goes and then contacted friends and family to tell them about this competition? The snowball would gather pace in time and before they knew it, all tickets would be sold!!!

I personally wish them the very best of luck and I hope that they succeed in their new challenge.

    Good luck to them.
  • I've actually read the rules now (having paid my fiver!) and they have said they will raffle the flat if they sell 40,000 tickets by August 1st. If they don't hit this target, the prize is 70% of the state money. The flats probably worth about 100 - 120k so they're quids in if they manage to sell 40,000 tickets. Good luck to them!!

I've revived this thread after reading about a recent raffle that failed to reach the target.

What about this one? Did they sell 40000 tickets?

Are you in Edinburgh now ;)

I would wish them no more luck than I would wish Camelot on Saturday nights.

They were trying to get money from desparate people and no doubt made a handsome profit while the flat will not have been given as a prize.

    :)

Someone in Rugby tried this a couple of years back. I think I heard a few months later he was declared bankrupt and everyone lost their money.

You have been warned ... I would guess more of these schemes fail than succeed.
