Not moneysaving - but desperate help needed. WWII song!!

An acquaintance of mine has a daughter who has been given a WWII song to learn - for tomorrow! Unfortunately she's lost the song sheet, and all she can remember is:

I've tried googling lyrics + WWII songs but come up with nothing.

Any chance someone on this board (which I'm not technically eligible to post on for another six months :rotfl::rotfl:, so I hope you'll forgive a young whippersnapper butting in!!) might recognise the song and maybe the title, so we can stand a bit of a better chance of finding the words.

tried all the sites I know and looked through some music books and sheet music but this defeats me.

trouble is WW2 songs quite often had long introductions before the main chorus and no one remembers them now.

Song or not, it doesn't actually make sense, so I guess she's remembered it wrong.

It turned out to be irrelevant, as school is closed today due to the snow!

Maybe she'll find out more when they go back after the Christmas break.
