TNS Surveys, Gas and Electricity or phone?

Just had someone at my door, I answered it and was about blown back in the house by the cold wind. TNS surveys he said I am not trying to sell you anything (that immediately set off the alarm bells) have you got time to answer a few questions?

In this freezing cold, you have got to be kidding says I and shut the door in his face.

Any ideas who it could be for so I can shove a load of figures in his hand when he comes back (and he sure will, they never take no for an answer) and tell him to come back if he can beat them?:rotfl:

TNS are an established survey company so if he's really from them it will be an opinion type survey with no ulterior motive and no attempt to sell you anything. They should all carry ID, too, so if you check that and don't mind answering a few questions no problem.

my advice is don't talk to any sales or surveys at all before you know it the post man will puffing and blowing with a bag full of junk mail for you.

They are legit, but I don't like the way their door to door people can be a bit pushy sometimes.
