    Apart from being so difficult to read (caps) She does have a point, even if I drive a £500. Daihatsu. I'm convinced that car park space dimensions have not kept pace with the width of modern cars and could even be narrower than of yore. All the better to squeeze the extra few cars in, even though the car park is never full on 364 days of the year.

    It's even worse in older multi-story car parks where the spacing seems to be determined by the location of the concrete pillars. If they catered for the many wider vehicles we have now, it could mean losing up to a third of parking spaces (from 3 down to 2 between each pillar).
    What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?
