Tesco Photo Album

I ordered 2 photo albums from Tesco on-line service.
The second one (despatched 14th Dec), ordered quite a few days after the first one arrived today (and is fabulous quality btw
).
I phoned CS to ask about the first one (despatched on 11th Dec), and was told could take up to 7 or 14 working days to arrive - which in my calculation, if it's 14 days takes us to the 7th of January!!!! :eek:
I am now utterly mad at myself, especially as the whole advert was swathed in Xmas designs etc. No-where was 7 - 14 working days from despatch clearly mentioned at the time of ordering! (maybe it was on the small print T&C's that I didn't read
)
To be fair to CS she did say phone back again on Monday if it hasn't arrived ... but by then it'll be way too late for Xmas, as would need reprinted and posted etc.:o
I've paid £60 for these two albums, and I can't give one DD it, without the other! And I can't see them giving me a refund (or even having the cheek to ask) for both, as one has arrived perfectly okay.
Anyone got any suggestions about how to plead with Tesco to start the reprint and despatch now (I could cry if necessary
) ... or do you think I should resubmit the order again - pay another £30 :eek:- there's no option for express delivery unfortunately, but they might get that it's an Xmas gift???
And then later ask for a refund of the first £30 iyswim??? So, that I've still only paid £60.
I get that it's not totally Tesco's fault, as they've indicated that it's been despatched ... it's just not got to me :mad: But I get also that I'm no angel in this as I didn't fully read T&C's ... just feel it's been hidden somewhat!!!

As these are customised items obtaining a refund might be difficult, but you could argue under DSR that the item did not arrive before the required date 25th Dec, and you had no choice but to source an alternative item from somewhere else, and as such the item is no longer required and you want a refund.
Postal problems or not, the retailer (Tesco) is responsible for it arriving and then reclaiming any costs whoever they themselves find to be at fault.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -
It says on the website - big banner on the photo homepage. Last order date for Photo Books was 13th Dec. If you ordered before then you should be ok they probably just said 7-14 days as thats the standard time.0

Was definitely order before then - the one that's missing was ordered on the 5th December. The one that has arrived was ordered on the 8th December.0
