Sorry to jump in again, but what if you were to purchase a new car on-line, would this be eligible for cash back? If so how much roughly for say a new car costing about £8000?

Quidco is safe, Ive had a thousand pounds cash back in just over 3 years. The thing to do is first find the best price on a comparison site for the item and then go to quidco and see if that retailer is one of those listed. No good just using quidco for anything without being sure you are getting the lowest price/best deal first anyway.

onejontwo, quidco dont have any car dealers on their list of merchants.

For you, the way to go would be through a car broker, such as carfile.
  • i have recently joined quidco and made my 1st purchase through it today, it hasn't updated my account to show any cashback...does that mean it hasn't worked for me?

does the cashback normally show on your quidco account instantly or does it take a while?

It can take a little while to track....

Sorry to jump in again, but for the benefit of us "cash back virgins" if say I was in the market for a new TV, searched on-line, found one I liked at say Currys, strolled down there to get a "hands on" look and feel, would I then come back and go through a cash back site such as Quidco, and order it through Currys on-line site, receive my TV and then in due course receive my cash back? If so how is it paid? Ie. in the form of a cheque or into a bank account?

yes thats what you do , good idea to sign up to topcashback as well quite often they will have better cashback than quidco , then use either , no risk
like others have had free car and home insurance in the past when the cashback was more than the premium
    GO FOR IT !

quidco can pay you either via paypal or bacs payment into your a bank account nominated by you(though if it is a payout of £50 or over, they have to send it via bacs). the first £5 of you earnings are deducted as the fee once a year (but if you dont earn enough or dont earn anything you pay nothing etc)

i would definatly recommend it, i joined earlier this year and through using it for things i would have bought i have already been paid out £278.78 and i am due to be paid £4.44 on 30th december, and have another £50+ of validated payments that quidco are waiting for the merchant to pay them.

it can definatly make sense financially for instance we took out an orange mobile phone contract which we were intending to do any way, £15 a month contratc but we have earned £150 cash back from orange, so basically have the first 10 months free!, also have had £50 from a holiday booked to disneyland paris, but loads of companies are listed on there, from i tunes, hmv, waterstones, apple, currys, marks and spencers etc and loads of insrance companies, there is even a couple of credit card companies (ie halifax and aa credit card) that pay £10-£20 cash back you are accepted for a credit card
    MFW#105 - 2015 Overpaid £8095 / 2016 Overpaid £6983.24 / 2017 Overpaid £3583.12 / 2018 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2019 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2020 Overpaid £2583.12/ 2021 overpaid £1506.82 /2022 Overpaid £2975.28 / 2023 Overpaid £2677.30 / 2024 Overpaid £2173.61 Total OP since mortgage started in 2015 = £37,286.86 2025 MFW target £1700, payments to date at April 2025 - £1712.07..

The one thing to remember is that the cashback is never a 'sure thing'. Tracking can fail, validation can fail and Quidco don't exactley put themselves out to help you.

Rule of thumb is if you are happy with a price, just see the cashback as a bonus.

I've had £980 in 3 years - but have had cashback of over £250 declined on genuine purchases.

I just want to re-iterate this. I've never had a problem with Quidco themselves (although some purchases haven't tracked for other reasons), but after a bad experience with a different cashback site (that I don't use anymore), I definitely see the cashback as a bonus and only use it for things I was going to buy anyway.

Some people sign up for all kinds of things they wouldn't normally touch (gambling sites, for example) then find they don't receive the cashback anyway.

I've been with Quidco for 2 years now and I've found them to be honest and straightforward. Not all cashback sites are like this.

Btw, you don't have to set your payout amount to 0.00 if you don't want to. I like to set mine to £10 minimum payment, I can't see the point of getting 12p and the like paid into my account. It's personal preference what you set the min payment at.
Love the animals: God has given them the rudiments of thought and joy untroubled. Do not trouble their joy, don't harrass them, don't deprive them of their happiness.

I'm about to change from one tariff to another on N power which I found from a comparison site, would this count as a cash back as I haven't actually changed supplier?

Also I'm unable to browse and visit sites through Quidco and Topcashback, with Google chrome and internet explorer. Apparently I'm a member but do I have to fill in all my bank details just yet to browse?
