My First Bills

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
First time homeowner and just had my first Bills, well direct debits setup

£13 Electric
£47 Gas

The gas is very high, considering Ive been here a Month and not used it that much. In addition my Mams House which uses alot of Gas, to heat the Water for 3 people. She Pays £30 a Monthg, also doing own Meter Readings so that you pay for what you use.

I only have a small 2bedroom House

She is with EDF/London Energy & because of their online billing system, where you pay for what your using ive always been attracted, giving regular metre readings so payments adjust if needed. that way you will never pay more than required. I dont like the fact that at present, you could end up in credit or debt at the end of the year, basing their Payments for me on a Month doesnt seen accurate to me , plus all her friends has seen huge price rises in their Gas, however with EDF it hasnt budged.
In addition their Nectar Scheme. I get 5000points (£10 for joining) with a Voucher. or £12.50 via Uswitch.

Because I dont have any Prior Fuel History, its very difficult to work out what is best for me, when Ive had one Months useage, in a low useage period.

Do you think I am ok, switching to London Energy & then after 6-12months look into Switching again.

I did the Comparisons, based on what British Gas have set me up with now, at present £60 a month Dual (£720 a yr)
&
energy helpline = equipower&gas £502 saving £218
edf £633 saving £86

Uswitch
Atlantic Dual £615 saving £104
edf - pretty similar to energy helpline info

What should I do ?
I know i sound like ive already made my choice but would like other opinions
