how to calm down homemade sweet chilli sauce

today i have made this, but it is HOT! i ony used 200g of fresh chillis and some dried ones as well but it is very very hot. what can i do to calm it down please!!! also it is still quite runny.
any ideas?

Looking at that recipe I'd make more of the plain syrup using more vinegar and sugar then add to the hot stuff bit by bit til it tastes right.

the heat would depend on which chillis you used. add a little more sugar and keep testing. this should also thicken it up a bit.0

It says on the recipe at the bottom to replace half the chilis with red peppers if you want it not so hot.
Or just use less of it when you pour it?
Call it something like 'inferno'.....0
