LPS/Brethertons Court Appearance help, Solicitors unpaid charge :(
Comments

Quick.......... you must pay immediately or they will go away and stop writing to you.0

I have just finished the L.P.S & Brethertons merry-go-round. Just ignore all their letters. Nothing will happen.
I had 3 letters from LPS and 2 from Brethertons each one warning of the dire consequences of ignoring them.
The letters can be quite scary but hold your nerve and it will eventually stop. :j0 -

Dear Sir,
LOCAL PARKING SECURITY LTD
We act for Local Parking Security LTD who instruct us that the sum of £50.00 remains unpaid in respect of a parking fine issued upon 01/09/2009 - 07:02:00 AM.
Did somebody see the 'f' word there? Do we now throw section 40 of the Administration of Justice at them now or in court? Would a supposedly professional solicitor really be breaking the law in one of their own letters? :eek:0 -
You know those spam letters you get though post where you have won 100,000,000 pounds as a cheque, I send them now but ask for change please coins only i dont trust you lot0

I am firstly concerned about the genuinity of this, can they prove it was me, I have rang them and explained that it was not and that surely it will be too much of a risk for them to take me to court for a trivial £50. I said it was a friend using the car. They don't have my current address, or no telephone numbers. (DVLA details updates since they have gained them).
What would you people do? I see others have had dealings too judging by other posts........
Has this been reported to the SRA ?0 -
Definately report them to the SRA, if only to cause them a headache in dealing with it.0
-
SRA it has to be, when is a fine not a fine? when it is an invoice for a dodgy unilateral contract, assumed to exist by the PPC0
-
And when is paying a begging letter a 'legal obligation'?Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!0
-
Well spotted that man!Did somebody see the 'f' word there? Do we now throw section 40 of the Administration of Justice at them now or in court? Would a supposedly professional solicitor really be breaking the law in one of their own letters?
I would jump at the opportunity to sue them:jIf it moves; sue it!0
