Can't take much more so we've come to a tough decision

We cannot wait for our sellers any longer, so we've come to the decision to pull out of our purchase and just concentrate on exchanging and completing on our sale.
I'm going to ask out estate agents tomorrow if they can help out with finding us somewhere to rent in the area.
I'm off work sick at the moment due to all the upset/stress over all this, so i need a few months break before we start looking for another house to purchase.
Thank you everyone for all your helpful advice, it's really been appreciated.

Our first buyers did the same thing. They didn't want to lose their own buyers so exchanged with them with completion set for 6 weeks later. When it became obvious that we wouldn't exchange in their time frame they found a nice house to rent for a year and put their profit in the bank.
I spoke to them last week, they seem very chilled. They are going to look at properties again soon, in case the deal takes time to go through, and they have money in the bank.
At the time they were woried that prices would move up while they were out of the market but they seem more relaxed now.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. what a good idea that is - life it way too short for that amount of stress. Find a nice new nest for a few months, dont even think about property for at least a month, go for walks, cinema, swimming, chilling, whatever it takes !! enjoy the rest .....................0

I'm thinking of pulling out of my purchase as the vendors just dont seem interested in moving it along. It took them 9 weeks to return the contracts package (which should be done asap) and now they have decided to take the shed, the curtains and most of the curtain poles but will not budge on the price.
I'm so sad that this may fall through but I think sometimes you have to say enough is enough and move on.2012 wins approx £11,000 including 5k to spend on a holiday :j0
