help needed comparing prices please

sorry if these a dumb questions
im with edf on duel fuel energy assist standard tarrif, supposidly cheaper as im on imcome support
so on the comparison sites i cant see my tarrif on the drop down menu.
also i cant see on my bill how to put in the amount im using kw
i know i should understand these things better
i just wanted to see if i was on a good tarrif
2 bed house
i use prepayment cards so also there isnt a drop down menu for how i pay either
i put £8 wk on gas and £5 on electric and it seems to cover it all
on gas it says im paying 5.600p
electric is14.790p 1st 192 units then 9.370p
last 1/4 i was refinded £9 for the assist tarrif gas and £2 electric

    You are on a social tariff. These are not given on comparison sites as they are not available to everyone.

    You can of course use the comparison site to see what is the cheapest option generally available in the marketplace. Use any current tariff, input your annual consumption in kWh and compare the cheapest price to what you currently pay. (ignore any suggested savings as the starting tariff will be wrong) The comparison sites allow for pre-payment meters.

    You will need to contact the individual companies directly should you wish to compare their social tariff options. Note eligibility for social tariffs vary by supplier.

  • contact the energy savings trust, see if you qualify for any grants, in some circumstances they also help with the bills (depends on where you live)
