  • Well she's got a HIP and there's a list in there of things included and not included. I'll assume that would do the trick?

Why do you place a posting here for advice and then ignore it?

If in doubt, put it on the list!

Once you move in and find the carpet/dishwasher/whatever is not there, it's gonna be hard enough to do anything about it.

And impossible unless it's clearly written down and agreed.

If items are listed on the HIP and you feel that is adequate and the F&Fs form is irrelevant, fine, rely on the HIP - But don't come on a forum for help and then ignore it - especially as all the replies you've had have said the same thing!

:o I already gave returned the form posted the thread afterwards.
  • Get everything down, including door handles, light fittings, curtain poles etc. If in doubt, get it down.

Another good piece of advice is to have a converse list of those things which you have agreed to let the vendor take with them. By default, if it is not on this list, they cannot take it with them.

    Aaah! You're into horses!

    Stable door......:T

How long since you sent it back? Ring your solicitor and see if he's sent it on yet. If not, tell him you want to re-do it.
  • I'm in the process of moving and the forms we had to fill in even went as far as to mention light switches, plug sockets and lamp holders. Hmmm I suppose it is a bit grim ooop north, mebe there is a shortage of electrical fixtures.:rotfl:

Well there was only space enough for about 10 things on the list anyway.

LOL What happens when your surname is too long to fit into the space provided on a form? Do you just put in your first name?

    Well I'd write small. :o)

The list was in a table format, with spaces for items and agreed price if not included in purchase price. I'd assume that if it was meant to be an extensive list they'd probably provide a full page table.

Anyway, it's done now. I just sent them an email.
