Placed an order for dining table and 6 chairs on 25th November. Delivery stated within 21 days. Called today and they say that the table is available but the chairs aren’t and it’s currently 4th Jan for delivery.
This is the second order that I have placed with Homebase-the first one being a sofa package which came with no feet. To have feet sent out they said they would have had to collect the sofa the following sat and we would then have to wait another week to receive a new sofa with feet. They resolved that by sending me an alternative sofa which was £50 more (this was waived) instead and taking the one without feet away on the same day.
I’ve escalated to the resolution team. They are saying there is nothing they can do, they can’t send an alternative as they are approx £50 - £100 more.
Because they aren’t delivering the table within 21 days as stated on the website at the time and on the confirmation email what are my rights in asking for an alternative? Going to be a fab Christmas all sitting on the floor lol!

"3.2 Delivery charges and estimated timescales are specified in the Home delivery information section and also when you place an order. We make every effort to deliver goods within the estimated timescales, however delays are occasionally inevitable due to unforeseen factors and all goods and products are subject to availability. Homebase shall be under no liability for any delay or failure to deliver the products within estimated timescales. We recommend that you make arrangements for trades people to carry out work on your behalf only after your order has been delivered. "
You are entitled to a refund, so that you can buy elsewhere.0
