Play.com/HDNL lost my parcel

Play.com show my order as being despatched on 8th Dec. HDNL say paperwork was scanned in, but not the actual parcel. Depite phoning both organisations twice a day since Monday they have failed to find the parcel or offer a solution. Play.com's phone lines are now totally overwhelmed and I'm just getting a message saying the number is busy call later.

Needless to say the item is now out of stock with Play and every other retailer. Not happy. Hope whoever has nicked my PS3 in the depot has a good christmas.

Nightmare. I try not to order anything that used HDNL as their service in my area is poor. However my mam uses companies that use them and has no problems.

Ditto what rsykes said. After I bought my girlfriend a TV from Play last year I have learned my lesson not to buy high value electricals from them because of the fact they use HDNL. I ordered the TV and it was despatched the next day but HDNL took 9 days to deliver the TV. I was stressed to bits worrying it wasn't going to come in time when it arrived on the morning of her Birthday.
  • HDNL have thrown/dropped by blu-ray player over a 6ft gate in heavy rain with ripped packaging. A total right off, told play never to use them to deliver to my house again and they have just sent my replacement (which i had to pay for) with them. So lodged a 2nd formal complaint today.

Mmmmm I wonder if something is going on with the PS3's! I've ordered 3 now since 3/10/09 and not one has arrived. Each time I have had to place a claim to get a refund. Mine are supposed to be delivered by Hermes (Parcelnet) and are showing on their tracking system as arriving at the depot. But sadly they never leave the depot to come to me - boo hoo!

Ive just posted in another thread about this...my PS3 has gone missing from play and HDN too. Do you think I'll get a refund? HDN say the driver is liable if its gone missing.

Edit: Well, just had an email from play stating that a replacement is being sent soon. To be honest, play have been great during this whole sorry mess, apart from the fact you can't choose an alternative delivery method. HDNL have been absolutely pants, though the customer service lady I have been corresponding with through email was quite helpful. Anyway, lets see if they can deliver this time!
