What's M3 like heading into london on friday night?

Title says it all really!
Will be joining at M3, Jct 6 and heading for Richmond. Multimap says 47mins, but am less convinced it'll be that easy on a Friday at 5pm, especially crossing over M25.
Any users could help out please?

I'd allow double that time, as Richmond itself will be very congested at that time on a Friday evening... that said you just never can tell what motorways will be like when it comes to sudden bad weather or accidents... give yourself plenty of time thats how I would play it but then I am someone who cannot bear to be late for anything:eek:#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

...Also the M3 is hiddeous at the moment with tons of roadworks and at least FIVE independent sets of 50mph average speed cameras! It should clear after J2 (the M25 exit) but as suggested I would allow plenty of extra time!"...IT'S FRUITY!"0
