Paypal refund but card cancelled, help!

Hi,
I have received a refund from paypal for GENUINELY not receiving goods. What they have done is reversed the original transaction, which was £15 or so from my paypal balance and the remaining £20 from my debit card. Unfortunately I didn't realise this and the £20 has been refunded to the original card which was reported lost a fortnight ago. I have now removed the card from paypal to get my house in order but has anyone had any experience of this. Phoned the bank they say as its a refund it's 50/50, if it was a debit it would definitely fail but it may go on as a refund and just go straight to my current acc the debit card was linked to.
Dont really want to wait in a paypal queue for 15 mins again so just after advice off the good people on here.

Hi, i recently had this happen to me. I also had a Paypal refund to a cancelled debit card. We phoned the bank up as we were worried that we wouldn't get it, the bank reasured us it would still go into the account that the card was linked to.A few days later the refund was there in the account. HTH. x0
