Please help with my over draft charge

I have just checked my bank account online and i have a charge of £20. This is for being over drawn £3.81 for 4 days.
I immediately rang my bank to ask why, as i thought i had a overdraft of £150.
They said i did have an overdraft but it expired, and this is a maintenance charge and i will not be able to get it back. I explained that i hardly ever go over my overdraft and if i do its only by a couple of pounds, she was not interested and said i will not be able to get the charge back. I said i will be in later to close my account.
I know it's only £20 but, £20 is a lot to me especially at this time of year with 2 chikdren?
Do you think i will be able to get it back? And how would i do it?

I haven't yet put in a claim, what should I do?
A. Hold off for the moment and see what happens with the Office of Fair Trading (OFT). Even if it doesn't take the case up we will produce new guidance on how to try to reclaim - ensure you're getting the free weekly e-mail where we will publish an update as soon as possible.
How likely is it I will get my money back?
A. Much less likely than prior to the Supreme Court result, but not impossible. Still, the best thing to do is plan for getting nothing, but cross your fingers.
We believe there is a strong legal case under the new arguments yet it is complex and it takes time for these things to play through. For money management's sake, assume you won't get a payout – though we hope there is still a chance."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
