Insurance company may start proceedings in my name!

HI Lazy Daisy. You're right-the third party is the ever popular Cunningham Lindsey.
I'll scan the offer in and send it to the solicitor so they are up to date. I didn't think to do that I as felt it was all down to us anyway.
Quentin-they want to start court proceedings as RSA rejected the offer from Cunningham Lindsey as it was about £500 adrift. It was all to do with STW having indemnity insurance, so it would cover our new for old policy that we have.0 -
LOL... if the offer is only £500 adrift this case is never going to go to court - it would cost them that much in legal fees and court fees to get the case off the ground. They MIGHT issue proceedings if they are feeling bolshy (and even that is unlikely) but it won't get to a court hearing.
Try to take a step back, emotionally, this is just the dance that lawyers do, and you are caught up in it through no fault of your own.
But do get the insurer's confirmation that they have no objection to you accepting the F&F direct offer, and get the money in your pocket!
Good luck!I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0
