card fraud
for the third time we have had our cards compromised, this occasion was the worst!
recently i tried to make a purchase from currys the sale was blocked, i had put a different delivery address.
yet some fraudster is able to make nine transactions in canada the initial purchase was for the sum of $1.50 ending with a total spend of £940.
the fraud department's comment ' it's christmas a lot of transaction's are done abroad'. Santa's little helper fell asleep on this occasion.
see how easy it is to obtain your details on google video
a fraudster can obtain you card detail's for 25p on line
you are able to buy card reading items on ebay for £10
the biggest card detail theft was 160,000,000 yes 160 million
credit card issuers, do they really care, its the retailer that takes the loss because they are not secure.

IMHO they see fraud as a cost of doing business.
If you own a shop then some goods will be sold at a loss, perish or be stolen. Credit card fraud is no different...0 -
whats the alternative?
none!0 -
Two-factor authentication would have an impact. Still wouldn't be 100% effective, but then nothing would.0

Firstly I'm so sorry to here about your loss.
What is google video? and how can a fraudster obtain card details for 25p online.0 -
google is a search engine it allows you to view video, images etc.
regarding the possibility of having your card details obtained on line, this was from an article in the national press.
a fraudster obtains a list of 200 or more personal card details, yes this information is sold en bloc.
so you or a another are a % of this sale.
just to mention, you can also view similar video's on youtube. A disturbing one is of a girl named jane having her computer hacked, and the fraudster making a purchase with her banking information, also being able to view photo's and read all her personal information.0
