EasyMoney Card (& Maybe Others) closed down & replaced by Lloyds Platinum

I have been a holder of an EasyMoney Credit Card for about 18 months now after it was reccomended on here.

Today I recieved a Lloyds TSB Platinum card that I did not apply for. Upon ringing them I was told that the EasyMoney Card had been stopped as had a lot of cards that were owned by Accucard and they were all being replaced by ordanairy Platinum Cards.

Is anyone else in this boat??. I feel a bit conned as I recived no notification of this and the Lloyds Card is rubbish with regards to Cashback (I assume it pays none, it does not mention anything in the terms and conditions)

Also does anyone know what will happen to the Cashback I have accrued so far (about £20 odd). I have emailed Lloyds TSB to ask but wondered if anyone else knew.

One last thing - the balance is fine on my platinum card - shows the correct balance, but when I log onto my Easymoney account it shows double what I owed before they transferred me as it shows the balance as being paid out (IE spending) rather than a credit to my account for the balance.

I am not going to use either card until I get answers and will cancel my Lloyds one without using it and get another cashback card. I will keep using my GE Money one which pays 3% on food and Petrol 0.5% on everything else until I find a better deal for general spending.

I received a letter about 6 weeks ago saying that my easymoney card was being replaced by a Lloyds TSB card. I haven't received anything yet, and in fact was wondering what was happening with this, sounds like they haven't really got themselves sorted with regards to transferring all the balances over!

I only got mine to use as a 0% for 6 months card so the loss of cashback etc doesn't really bother me.

Thanks for that. I never got a letter but Cashback is the number 1 priority for me as I always pay off my balance in full. Still be interested to see if I will get to keepo my Cashback I've earnt so far - I will make a fuss if I dont get it

I got a letter and have had my new card which I won't activate as I'm just stoozing it. They took my DD six days late and have warned me I'll probably get a late payment fee and have to ask them to refund it. Sounds a bit of a shambles.

From what I remember, the cashback accrued so far will be paid soon but you won't earn any more. For most purposes the Lloyds TSB card isn't competitive at all, IMO.

Thanks for that. My D/D comes out on 3 July so I assume that will be cancelled and I will pay that whenever LTSB send me my first statement

I have held Accucard and More Than for cashback for many years which are in the same deal. I was advised by Lloyds that the cashback on each would be shown on the 2 x new Lloyds cards, which I now have, on 30 Jun. I paid my full balance on More Than on that account and it is also showing as fully paid on its equivalent new Lloyds TSB card account. I paid the Accucard off on its new Lloyds TSB card account. I await with interest if the old Accucard account will raise a penalty charge. I was assured this would not happen. As soon as I have spent the cashback on the 2 new cards I will close both, as I suspect will many others. The £10k credit involved will lessen my chances of other 0% deals if I keep them open. There are other cards offering better cashback, if this is what you want, as per Martin's advice. I applied for these last month, after Lloyds' closure warning, and now have the new cards I need for myself and my wife.
