bought ps3 60 in 2007 with extended warrenty from argos but have lost reciept

hi can anyone help i purchased a ps3 60gb new from argos back in july 2007 with 3 years extended warranty but have lost my reciept or missplaced tonight have experianced it going wrong yellow flashing light been in contact with argos but they say unless a receipt as the extended warrenty can not be proved so contacted play station and they want 128.00 which i think is discusting as i paid over 500.00 and they will give me a recon that may only last till there 3 month warranty are argos able to check the warrenty without the reciept thanks dennis

i don't know if argos will be able to do it without a receipt, i suppose it would depend on what details, if any, they have from when you took it out.

otherwise if you paid for it with card then look up your old statements and maybe they'll accept proof of the transaction instead of the receipt.
