If they have written then perhaps best to wait a day or two and if you hear nothing then perhaps ring them back. This seems to be the case with a few PPI reclaims just lately in that they ring you to discuss the matter and it is said to speed up the complaint process. Just have to be careful what you say and think before saying anything and you should be fine. Hope its good news.

    Good luck
  • just had a phone call of mbna making an offer of £900 to be taken off my account but i asked about the 8% on top she told me i cant claim that because ppi showed on my statesments . is that true or should i asked for it all back.she asked was i happy with it and i said i will wait till she sends me my breakdown off all charges.which i have 2 wks to reply to

Hi, did they accept that it was missold and they are paying it all back? Also did you ask for the 8% statutory interest when you complained? If you did then I would still go for it as sometimes it is quite a lot with older accounts? I have never heard of the reason that she gave you there:confused:.

Good luck and keep us posted.
