Ours are wrapped and half delivered (as we have a hugh family). We gave my DD1 and DD2's friends today at school and also the teachers pressy.

I love this time of December as all i've got to do is buy my xmas day veg and make some more mince pies (as my family ate my first 24 last weekend).

Well, l spent an hour last night wrapping and got another lot done, so l must be 3/4 of the way through, l hope!

I'll tell you what happened to my sister the other day she really is one of the unluckiest people l know, if it's going to happen it'll happen to her....

She spent an hour wrapping, put the presents under the tree and went to work, her 18 year old son (lives in a dream world at the best of times god love him) went out forgetting to lock the back door as their springer spaniel dog can jump up at the door handle and get in. Needless to say that's just what he did and proceeded to rip presets and sniff out the box of after eights she'd wrapped and ate them, at some point he !!!!!! on the living room carpet and generally wrecked the house

She came home furious, and went and fetched my sisters carpet cleaner but when she started that she found the carpet cleaner leaked too much so she couldn't use it. She came round mine and fetched mine whcih was working perfectly but once in her house it wouldn't suck up.... so she used mine to spray the cleaner on and my first sisters cleaner to suck up.

All that palaver took her about 3 hours, I told you she was unlucky. :rotfl:

    Happy moneysaving all.
  • DS Started school in September so I thought I'll get my wrapping done nice and early. no idea what happened as I still haven't done any. Hmmm I really must be going.............

I quite enjoy wrapping up presents, once I have kids and have loads to do though it will no doubt be a different story! lol I am not the best at wrapping mind you, my gf is the type who make it all pretty with bows and ribbons where I am a kinda wrap it in a roll of sellotape guy xD - hey arent all men!? :P

That doesn't sound too bad to me! I'm female but I'm practically as bad as OH. I always rip the paper cutting it, and then it's either too small or too big... I end up pulling the corners in whichever direction they'll go and taping it all manically. Oh, and I always curse when I'm doing the ribbon as I forget how to do it (I know, I'm clueless!) and usually burn myself curling it with scissors.

OH is worse though as he uses masking tape. I once received beautifully wrapped presents complete with bows and it turned out his housemate and his girlfriend took pity and wrapped my presents for him :p

I've wrapped all mine now, although I must admit I did them at my parent's house as I'm spending Christmas there anyway... my mother loves wrapping and making them look pretty so so ended up taking over and doing it all for me. It does mean her presents are a little sad-looking but I tried!!

Actually I've just realised I will probably end up wrapping the OH's presents for him... god knows when he'll even buy them though!

  • I've got 1 present to wrap that my OH was meant to do but hasn't. It's bugging me soooo much because I've wrapped I've I've boguth this year... I'm gonna slap some wrapping paper on it later :o We've been quite organised this year but it doesn't look like we've bought that much!!

I'm glad to see theres some naughty pets out there :p My old dog unwrapped and ate 2 boxes of chocolates on xmas eve a few years ago. Then he unwrapped everything else just to make sure he'd got all the food. No one got a wrapped pressie that year and 2 people got nothing :o The dog we have now has to sleep upstairs on xmas eve because he's another pressie opener but he eats everything... food or not :rotfl:
