Car Battery Choice

Need a new battery for my Renault 1.5 diesel. Can anyone recommend a good battery? Is it worth going for a more expensive Varta or Bosch, or a rebadged item such as Alphaline or Numax. About 65amp/hr would be the capacity.
Merry Xmas to all.

Depends on what kind of price you are getting quoted, but my personal feeling is that it is usually better to pay a bit extra for a better one like Varta or Bosch.

Get the cheapest one with the best waranty, probably 5 years. Remember that often a manf offers batterries with either a 3 year or a 5 year waranty. These are simply the same but rebadged battery, you are simply paying for an extended waranty that in say 95% of cases would be unneccessary. So that advice totally contradicts itself ;);), depends if you like a gamble:rotfl:
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

If you have a Costco handy, the Bosch silver batteries cost around the same as the cheapies and I've found them excellent on my daughters car which is only used for a couple of miles every 2 weeks or so.

banner batteries are good their sealed units have 2x pos connections and 2x neg conections can be mounted upside down if required and applications are vast.
