Using Open Office

Are there any geniuses around?

I recently had to have everything reinstalled on my computer. I no longer have Microsoft Office and I hope to use OpenOffice for everyhting in future.
All my existing Word documents and spreadsheets have opened fine in OpenOffice, but my one Database (the one with my Xmas card addresses) won't open.
HELP!!
Has anybody got any ideas?

If you still have access to the old product as well try using save as or export to get it out in a csv file and then import that in.

    There is a tutorial here
It's for an older version of OpenOffice, but hopefully it should work.
