Barclays Regular Saver Interest Rate

Dear MSE, Last December,there was an article on MSE.com about the Barclays regular saver account which I am certain included a quote from Barclays head of savings stating that if a regular saver account was opened by 31 December 2008,it would qualify for a rate of 7.75% even though the published rate at the time was 6% Do you still have this article/page in your archives?

I have a regular saver account which I opened before the end of December 2008 and is about to expire.
I though it would be on the 7.75% rate but it turns out it is on the 6% rate.
I could do with a copy of this article to show to Barclays to try to get the better rate.

This confirms that, provided your payment was received and cleared by 31st December, that you should have had the 7.75% rate.

Have Barclays confirmed that you got 6%, or is this by your calculations?

Did you get 7.75% for each of the other 11 months of interest payments?

Further to my previous post,Barclays has just confirmed by phone and in writing that I have been getting the 7.75% rate on my regular saver account (opened dec 09):j,the branch staff were adament that this rate has never been available despite me showing them the article on MSE,after gettting them to log a complaint,I finally got a response with the right answer,I knew the quote from their savings head honcho on MSE couldn't be wrong:T
