Can some one help me with a pro rata calculation?

    That only works if the OP is being paid for 7 hours and 48 mins of the day. This is pretty unlikely as the OP has given us the hours they work 9-5pm with a 30 min lunch break.

    In order to make your calculation correct you would be making the assumption that the OP is paid for 18 mins of their lunch break and 12 mins of it is unpaid. That's a fairly unlikely assumption.
