Red Driving school
My husband took out the driving instructor course with Red Driving School in March 2008. He paid over three thousand pounds for the training. He passed the theory test but failed the second part of the examination.
When he went in for the first day they told him that it was all workable around his current monday-friday 9-5 job. It's not true. They don't do evenings and only work every other saturday. It is almost impossible to get saturday appointments as everyone wants them.
When he asked what happened if he failed they said not to worry as it wouldn't happen. Obviously that is not in the contract that he signed though.
Is there any way we can get our money back. Was it missold?

This is likely to be moved. You should ask your question in the consumer rights forum as you'll probably get some better advice there!0

I bet they told you he'd earn £30000 a year too! and will have a full diary!! and this time next year, you'll be millionaires!!!When he asked what happened if he failed they said not to worry as it wouldn't happen.0 -
Heh-heh...work hours to suit you...earn £30k a year. Yeah right.
The reality:
Work when your clients want you.
Clear £14k.0 -
Interesting to see what you're all saying about Red. My driving instructor was with A Plus, a similar outfit I presume, and complained of very similar things. You're guaranteed X hours/week etc within 6 weeks. I think he said he had something ridiculous like 6 calls after a few months, and was only just breaking even on franchise fees. He then went independent.
Can some regulatory body not become involved?0
