    Hi ScostBob,
You seem to have done really well on mistery shopping and click ads. What click ads can you recommend? The same goes for mistery shopping.

    Cheers,

Look at the first page of the Mystery Shopping thread on this forum. I make most money from Bare, ESA, TNS and GFK.

I have sent you a PM about click ads.

Only started in June trying to earn a bit extra but so far have made:-

    Mystery Shopping £2600,
    Click Ads £1710,
    Surveys £410 (includes a £250 prize win)
    Lecturing £1200,
Running extra mural classes/workshops £2800 (did three topics close up magic, personal development and public speaking)

In 2010 I intend to put more effort into doing classes. It's easy, just hire a community or church hall talk about something you know and everything else is profit.
I can think of loads of topics cooking/basic car maintenance/internet for OAPs/interviewing and CV skills/ etc etc I am setting a target of £10,000 for next year.

Wow, you've made a lot of extra money this year- good on you!

With the lecturing thing, is it really that simple- hire a church hall and show up and talk about something you know about, charging people however much to come along... Sounds amazing!

No, if you look at my OP you will see that I list lecturing and running classes as two separate things.

Running classes, I pick a topic that I think will generate interest, let us say public speaking. I hire a church or community hall. Then stick up a poster in a supermarket "Would you like to gain more confidence? Would you like to project a more positive image? Would you like to communicate more effectively?etc etc." Run the course for X number of weeks. If the poster is eye catching you attract people. Pick topics that you are familiar with or are based on your hobbies

I have only been doing this since last summer but it is generating money and every course is oversubscribed.

Lecturing started accidentally. I was asked to give a talk and someone liked it and invited me to their company and then the same thing happened. Each time I talk I get another invitation. There is no work involved because my material doesn't change. Same anecdotes, same jokes, same case studies, just presented to a different group of people in a different hotel! It's really a hobby that is making me money.

Yes, I see that now! Sorry!

I have been in post-18 education now for 5 years, so I really should know the difference between classes and lectures :o!
