Play.com frustration

Am I just unlucky or is it the tactic of Play.com to have the cheapest price but never any stock!!??

I have two things ordered from them, both out of stock and very different categories. They are hardly Xmas "super-hot items" either. One of them has remained listed as "Out of Stock" on my account page for nearly a month now.

Anyone else finding this with them or as I said, am I just unlucky?

Just unlucky I'm afraid...

Nothing I've ever looked for has been out of stock. Does it show you on the order page that it is out of stock or do they only tell you after you've placed the order?

It says out of stock when you order it initially then the order does not alter until the item is dispatched - in my case of course there has been no order status change!!

ive ordered loads an always been fine, so guess its just unlucky? why dont you email them an ask for when of if its due back in?

I had a similar experience with HMV ordered 'Ashes PS3 game at £17.99 but stated out of stock, new stock due in 2 weeks.
A month later, the game was still showing new stock due in 2 weeks, so cancelled order from HMV.
Found the Ashes game in stock at Play.com for £12.99, so ordered and delivered from Play.
