Hello again.
I'm digging up this topic because you were all very helpful before and I have concerns that the cylinder has a problem.
The boiler is situated in a cupboard above the stairs and a few weeks ago we found the carpet to be damp. We cleared everything out, absorbed the moisture and put down some fresh towels in case of any further leakage. Could not find any evidence of a leak however so did not call anyone out.
It has been fine since that date until today. There is a very small amount of water in front of the cylinder and a few drips. It looks like it might be coming from the the join at the bottom of the thing.
My problem is I'm concerned that calling someone out for a service or repair will not help if they cannot find evidence of the problem.
Thanks for your help!0 -
Hi
I would say it's worth getting it looked at as it has probably been leaking for a while, and you might prevent further damage. There will be evidence of a leak somewhere by now, scale or rust some indication of where it is.
