Section 75 Claim: Bank Delaying?

I made a claim under Section 75 (for a tradesman who lead me to believe a fault had been fixed, but had just "patched" it with a patch that lested just long enough for me to pay, by credit card, to a call-centre)

anyway, I submitted my claim back in september, had several delaying tactics from the bank early in the process, but eventually was told I should expect a result by 1st December

it came and went - i have been ringing weekly, the most recent one being, last week, the bank telling me the builders responce had been "lost in the post" so he was being given another week to resubmit it

should I keep hastling them, or leave it till after christmas?

    Hi Bouncy,

Send them a letter by recorded delivery with a set date, say 14th January to have the monies in your account and advise if the monies are not there by that date you will have to progress your claim to the FOS -www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk

If no response/monies then follow through with FOS action.
