I believe goods to be fake... please help

Options
Hello

My first time on here so bear with me!

I ordered a Mans hoodie and Mans shirt from a website called abercrobiefitchshop which cost me a total of £95.50 with postage.

Now the website looked very normal and genuine, even though i had my doubts. It took 16 days for my delivery to arrive and I was given a tracking number which showed that the goods were in JAIDING, then SHANGHI and then shipped to UK. I received them yesterday.

They were packed in plastic packaging, i opened them, and found that the Mans hoodie was actually a Womans hoodie. It also seemed that they were counterfiet goods because the labels did not look the same as real labels that i have seen before. The shirt came, but it looked completely different from the photos.

Now, i opened up a paypal dispute and noted it all down, and i mentioned I wanted a full refund and i will refuse to pay for the postage as it was not my fault the wrong item was sent. The seller contacted me and said they wanted me to take photos of the goods and send to them- and also asked to close the paypal dispute so they could sort it out between us?!!

When questioned about whether or not the goods were counterfiet, she replied that they were 100% genuine products and had a certificate of authenticity with it- there was no certificate in the package, not even an INVOICE!? Also, the payment was sent to an unknown, non abercrombie seller under the name Rise Beauty International and the confirmation email was a personal email address with the words like bmw65 at X mail.com - which i also questioned them about but i got no answer. To top it all off, the website that i purchased from has now dissapeared!!!

Does anyone have any advice on what to do next? I want a full refund but i refuse to pay for the postage to get the items sent back- after all, it was not my fault they delivered the wrong item, and as a customer i was very unhappy of the quality and i truly believe that this is a fake goods seller.

Oh and of course, they were Christmas presents so now im left out of pocket and no presents to give! Just perfect!

Thank you in advance for any advice or tips !

    they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)

Sorry, looks like it's a dodgy dealer. No idea on what action to take next, but if you paid with Paypal you should be covered.

I believe you can't make a Paypal claim for SNAD (significantly not as described ie fake) unless they were purchased on Ebay?

    See here: https://www.paypal-marketing.co.uk/safetyadvice/BuyerProtectionOffEbay.htm

It may be that you'll have to pay for postage to try and get at least some of your money back. Not fair I know.

clearly i bought them as a gift, that's what i wrote, i already acknowledged i made a mistake, if you're not going to be constructive why leave a patronising message?

I meant why would you buy from an obviously dodgy site? You can tell it's dodgy by the name !!!!!!!!

email them saying you want a full refund before you will post the goods back, also say that if they do not refund then you will pass the goods and all their details to the real Abercrombie

once you have the refund keep the goods;)
