Talk Talk misery....

We have just moved to a new flat in London and decided to get our landline + broadband from Talk Talk. The previous owner had a BT contract.
We were promised an engineer would come on a Tuesday and my partner took a day off. Nobody turned up and when he got in touch they said they had the wrong flat number (12 instead of 11):mad:
We decided to cancel, but they offered us free installation so we thought, ok, let's give it a go. Bad mistake. A new appointment was made for the Saturday than switched to the following Monday. We got a text confirmation for the Monday appointment. Surprise, surprise the engineer turned up on the Saturday (while we were out), but not on the Monday (despite repeated assurances that he would).
We are exhausted already and for the moment being we have purchased a dongle thingy from T-Mobile. I think we will have to cancel Talk Talk, but who should we go for? Any advice?

  • TalkTalk is fine and good all the time it works and you don't have to talk to anyone or get them to do anything. Mum has it, and so far has been lucky. It all works.

Personally, when I get my own place again, I'm sticking to BT.

Go to the TalkTalk web page and log-on to the Forums there and register your complaint.
There will be a TT person monitoring the pages who will get in touch with you to resolve your problem with them

I've been with TT for three years and never had any problems with them - and if you choose the correct tarrif for what you need, they are amongst the cheapest.
  • I use Talk Talk too...

    It's is great.
