Cable? They offer the same channels as the Sky Satelite - however its slightly cheaper for me. I get all my communication though the cable company - but you will have to check they are in your area. They should be in your local directory under 'Communications'.
The customer service is far better than Sky.0 -
Try the cable co's postcode checkers :

The other option is Freeview if you don't want Cable.
There are two types of freeview boxes on the market (as far as I know), one is a basic standard freeview box, you can only watch those free to view channels. The other type of freeviewbox gives you the option to subscribe to Top Up TV (£7.99 per month) which is more flexible.
We used to have Sky, then we decided to downgrade and chose a freeview box with top up option. Never look back since.0 -

Does this Top Up TV include movies like those on SKY. ???
Don't know very much about this I have SKY, and can't get cable as there isn't any cable things near where I live.0 -
Unfortunately not!
But it doesn't bother us as we don't really watch that much TV anyway.
As far as I know that Topup TV has plan to expand their channel programming in the near future. Check out their website Here if you would like to find out a bit more about them.0 -
Well NTL have pretty awful customer service once you have signed up but as its a reliable service you shouldn't need to call them too often - see https://www.nthellworld.co.uk for more info. I just have broadband and phone service (it was free for a year but kept BT line as customer service / response is light years ahead of NTL) and have cancelled the TV in favour of Sky Multi-room after an offer of Sky+ - TV is just as good as Sky and doesn't suffer if it rains like Sky.0

Very few probs with NTL Sports, phone and Broadband. It can be a pain getting through on the rare occasions when there's a problem but Its not often I need to call them and they are very helpful when you do eventually get through.0

i have ntl phone broadband and tv package.. dont have the movie channels as having the family package for kids means no point.. ntl have there problems but ive had more satisfaction from them than i ever did with bt.. ive found that if i get a snotty customer service person on the other end i just hang up and redial and get another one who normally is more helpful..Those we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear
Our thoughts are ever with you,Though you have passed away. And those who loved you dearly,
Are thinking of you today.0
