Balance transfer vs Paying off the store card?

Hello, I recently got a credit card, and apart from trying to work out how to get my betting winnings! (help me here...) I also have a staff store card from arcadia. Now im fed up of having 200 on there, paying 50quid and then getting another 10pounds chucked ontop of it.
Balance transfer is 0% for 9 months on my card, yet there is a 3% fee.
However, I used to make 'payments' with my debit card, on my halifax current account. Is this classed as a purchase? I would pay no fee and have 12mths at 0% (Im not really bothered about the mths of 0% as im paying it off in full in jan, its just that 3% fee, as at the moment i need to pay £210, i know £6.30 aint a lot, but its mine and i want it!)
Cheers :)
